Section 6 - Factory Stocks

ANYTHING NOT COVERED IN THESE RULES WILL BE UP TO THE DISCRETION OF THE TRACK OFFICIALS. TRACK OFFICIALS DECISIONS ARE FINAL!

Bodies
Any American car except for 82 newer camaro's or firebirds. No convertibles. Uni bodies must be tied together. Factory wheel base to match that year car. Full metal body factory only! All glass and chrome must be removed. Must have roof, hood, doors, quarters, bumpers, complete firewall, etc. The original VIN plate should on the car and be in OEM location. Bumpers stock with 2 chains on front rear and able to hook up to tow truck, if not you will be pushed to the infield without holding up the show!

Inside door panel, inner fender, trunk floor, and dash may be removed. Fenders can be cut 2 inches only for wheel clearance. All glass must be removed. Windshield openings must be covered with 1/2 square wire screen heavy gauge. Floorboards must be completed with all holes patched from front firewall to rear firewall from outside edge to framerail.

The car must have a 6 point roll cage, 3 bars on the driver and passenger doors. Minimum 1 1/2 bars of 0.95 thickness. 1 bar down the center of the windshield. Screen in front windshield and window net on driver's door. Battery to be located behind driver in a contained box fastened securely to the floor cage, etc. Must have a master shut-off switch for track to reach and properly mark.

Aluminum racing seat mandatory. Must be high backed, minimum of 0.095 material. Seat mounting (see street stock rule). Seat Location - stock OEM Location.


Tires
Street Tires ONLY! Any 70 or 75 Series Tires ONLY!. 300 min. Treadwear. 8 in. rim all the same off set. 1 in. lug nut mandatory. NO SNOW, OR RECAPS. MUST BE DOT APPROVED. NO RACING TIRES!

Suspension
Front completely all stock, tie rods, center link, idler, pit man arm, shocks, springs, sway bar stabilizer, steering box, ball joints, upper and lower a frame. Radiator must have 2 quart catch can over flow.

Rear Suspension: Must be a stock rear for make of car and year. Unaltered upper and lower control armas. Stock Shocks and springs (must be double pigtailed).


Engine
Chevy 350s plus 30, Ford 351w plus 30, Chrysler 360 plus 30. Flat tops only, no domes, pop ups, etc. Stock cast iron 2 barrel intake, Rochester 2 barrel or stock 4412 no after market carbs. MUST PASS GO-NO-GO. Stock heads cast iron, no vor-tech, no world products, bow-ties, etc. The following to also be all stock, studs, 1.5 rockers, crank, 5.7 rod, hydraulic cam, lifter, no hydraulic rollers. NO PASS VACUUM. 15 psi at 1,000 RPM.

STOCK TRANSMISSION PARTS ONLY! NO ALUMINUM PARTS!

Fuel Cell
FUEL CELLS ARE MANDATORY AND MUST BE AS FAR FORWARD IN TRUNK ALSO MUST HAVE TIP OVER VALVE. TRUNK MUST HAVE FULL FIRE WALL IN FRONT, FLOORS FULL. SEE DIAGRAM.
Brakes
Stock rear drums cast only stock rotors, and calipers. No shut offs for working brakes. BRAKE CHECKS MANDATORY!

Exhaust
Stock cast iron manifolds, 2 1/2 in. max. Exhaust to exit behind driver, 2 mufflers mandatory. NO H PIPES OR NO CROSSOVERS.

Weight
3200 pounds with driver without adding fuel after the race.


THIS CAR IS BASICALLY OFF THE STREET WITH THE SAFETY IN MIND FOR RACING. THIS CAR SHOULD BE ALL STOCK. STOCK MEANS STOCK!
