SECTION 8 – HANDICAPPING, SCORING & POINTS

8.1        10 cars maximum to start heat events.

8.2        20 cars maximum to start Microsprint and Slingshot main events.  In the event that more than 20 cars are entered in a division, cars will
qualify as follows:

3 Heats– top 6 qualify, rest start heads up in B-Main with 2 to transfer to rear of A-Main.

4 Heats– top 4 qualify, the rest will start heads up in B-Main with 4 to transfer to rear of A-Main.

More Than 40 cars entered – Additional mains would be added (C-Main, Etc.) as necessary.

8.3         ALL races are point races.  Each driver will be allowed to throw out their TWO worst finishes.  If a driver is not present for a week, that will
count at one of their throwaways.

8.4        All cars MUST run in the heat they are assigned.  If a car is not ready for their heat, they MAY NOT fall in at the rear of another heat.  They
will have to start scratch in the feature (if there is not a full field), or at the rear of the B-Main in there is a full field.

8.5        POINTS:  Points will be awarded as follows:

8.5.1        Weekly ‘A’ Feature win is 40 points, with each subsequent position worth one point less, with 20th position in feature worth 21 points.  If
track runs a ‘B’ feature(s), first non-transferring driver receives 20 points and each subsequent position, back to sixth position, receives one less
point per position. Sixth position and back in ‘B’ feature(s) receive 15 points. This applies to all ‘B’s, even if more than one is run. Drivers must
compete in heat race or feature to receive minimum 15 points – NO SHOW-UP POINTS. If no points are awarded, the event will not be figured into
driver’s handicapping  point average.

8.5.2   Heat points are awarded as follows: 1st – 3 points; 2nd – 2 points; 3rd – 1 point.)

8.5.3   Should a driver qualify for ‘B’ feature or ‘A’ feature, and is unable to compete, they will be scored in last position and receive points
accordingly. (Promoter’s discretion whether vacated position is filled in feature by next qualified driver.) In the event of a track running make-up
features, if driver competes in first feature, but is unable to compete in second feature (crash, blown engine, etc.), driver will receive last position
points in ‘A’ or ‘B’ feature, accordingly.

8.6        Registering Car Numbers:  Numbers for the 2012 season may be reserved by emailing the track thru the website (www.dunnhill2speedway.
com).  If not reserved in advance, once a number has been run and earned points, that driver will retain that number for the year.  In the event that 2
drivers arrive on opening day with the same number and having not registered their number, the number will go to the driver that ran it the previous
year.  If neither driver ran it the previous year, it will go to the driver that entered the nights event first.  Anyone signing in later in the night or season
will be required to change their number or add a letter.

8.6.A        Duplicate Numbers:  In the event that someone enters a car with a number that has already been registered, the driver entering later
MUST change theirs or add a letter using tape, or any method so as to make it identifiable for the scorers.  This MUST be done on BOTH sides of
the car.

8.7        NUMBER MARKINGS:

8.7.A        Karts - Must have numbers on both sides (minimum 6” tall, 1” thick, not including any outlines or shadows) and front (minimum 4” tall, .1/2”
thick not  including any outlines or shadows).

8.7.B        Slingshots - Must have numbers on both sides (minimum 12” tall, 1 1/2”  thick, not including any outlines or shadows) and front (minimum
4” tall, 1/2”  thick, not including any outlines or shadows).

8.7.D        All cars should be lettered in a manner such as to be easily legible and in a color that contrasts so that it can be read easily by the
scorers. Any letters must be at least ½  the height of the number.  The scorers have the right to request that any cars with numbers that are difficult
to read be changed.  Competitor will have 1 week to comply with requested change.

8.8        HANDICAPPING:

8.8.A        HEATS:  Heat starting positions will be determined by a drivers last 3 weeks points earned.  Least points earned will start 1st, most points
earned will start last.  In the event more than one heat is to be run, lowest points total will start on pole in heat one, next on pole in heat two, next
outside pole in heat one, and so on.  Drivers not present for one of the previous events will have winners points credited for their handicap for that
week.  EXCEPTION:  For the first two races of the season, the heat starting orders will be determined by pill draw.  For week 3, only 2 weeks will be
used to determine a drivers handicap.

8.8.B        FEATURES:  The top 4 finishers from all heats in a division will be lined up for the feature by their handicap.  All other qualifiers will be
lined up in heads up fashion behind the handicapped drivers.  EXCEPTION:  For the first two races of the season, feature will be lined up in heads
up fashion based on heat finishing orders.

8.8.C        DRAW REPRESENTATIVES – For any pill draw, a driver may have a representative of their choosing draw for them.
