2013 Mini Stock Rules
Any 4 cylinder RWD sedan,
subcompact and compact two door cars. No Convertibles, No 2
seat sport cars and no front wheel drive cars. All glass
must be removed and a screen must be placed in the
windshield area. 1in. Max welded wire hole opening, no
chicken wire. Must have a complete 6 point roll cage,
installed in a safe professional manner. 1 1/2 in. 095 wall
steel tubing minimum with the three door bars on drivers
side and 2 door bars on the passenger side. All roll cage in
drivers area must be padded. Front loop to protect drivers
legs and feet. No sharp pointed objects in the drivers area.
Cars must have a minimum 18 in. high number painted on both
front doors and roof. They must be painted with a
contrasting color. All cars must have an approved fully
charged fire extinguisher accessible. ABC ONLY! Stock hood
latch must be removed
and replaced with at least 2 hood pins. Any over competitive
cars will be slowed down by track. Aluminum racing seat is
mandatory. Driver side drop down window net mandatory!
BODIES
Stock original unibody with full floor and firewall,
Must be stock appearing body to a certain extent. May run
after market bodies. Aluminum bodies permitted. May tie
unibody together. May fabricate frame front and rear using 2
x 3 in. tubing from strut tower in front forward and
centerline of rear axle to the rear. Bumpers covers can be
aftermarket. All bumpers must be mounted solid. All bumper
ends must be rounded, NO SHARP EDGES! One external hoop
allowed on front and rear no wider than frame rails, above
and behind face of bumper. Must have tow hook for wrecker
(example: Steel Loop or Chain). MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPORT
WEIGHT OF CAR!! IF NO HOOKUP IS PRESENT, WE WILL BEND STUFF
TO GET HOOKED UP! Aftermarket rear spoilers are allowed.
They must be clear lexan or plexiglass mounted securely and
only raise off the decklid a maximum of 6 inches at any
angle.
Valance bars for fuel tank and radiator only not more than 1
1/2 in. maximum size. One nerf bar on each side is allowed
but must be tight to door with no sharp edges at ends.
ENGINES
Engine must remain stock as manufactured. No headers
or racing parts. Flat top or dish pistons only. No rotary or
fuel injected motors. .060 cleanup on cylinder bores
allowed. Stock stroke crank shafts only (NO STROKERS OF ANY
KIND). No high performance ignition boxes allowed. No light
weight pistons or rods. OEM replacement only for engine
being used. Hypereutectic allowed. No forged pistons.
Exception: 4 cyl Ford may use late model 2300cc Ranger
pistons & rods. No windage trays. Pistons may not come above
deck of block (exception: Toyota laser block) pistons do
come above deck in stock form. Min of 1” pipe plug must be
welded in the oil pan for viewing of internal components.
CYLINDER HEAD TECH
Adjustable timing gears allowed. No porting, polishing or
adding of material. 165 lb compression limit, to be measured
with track gauge. Any solid or hydraulic lift cam. NO
ROLLERS. 510 max lift to be measured at the valve. Only
stock OEM valves, springs, cam followers or rocker arms on
push rod motors.
CARBURETORS
One carburetor two barrel only, may use stock unaltered 2
barrel or Holley #4412 must pass DH2 gauges.
FUEL SYSTEM
Racing Fuel Cell is Mandatory. Fuel cell must be
mounted in a safe and professional manner. Must have a
protection loop behind the fuel cell and must be protected
front, bottom, and both sides with a minimum 18 gauge steel
minimum. The fuel cell itself must be a minimum of 12 in.
from the ground to the bottom of the cell. MUST HAVE
FIREWALL BETWEEN DRIVERS COMPARTMENT AND TRUNK AREA. Must
have FUEL SHUTOFF IN the REACH OF THE DRIVER on the right
hand side of the car. You also must have a master on/off
switch painted a bright and clearly marked in reach of a
track official from the outside of the car, on the
left side of the steering column on the dash.
BATTERY
Any battery inside drivers compartment must be in
marine type container.
RADIATOR
Radiator must be mounted securely with a two quart
catch can. Fan Shroud recommended.
SUSPENSION
Must have stock suspension. All front control arms
and rear trailing arm pivot points must be in stock
position. Must use stock OEM ball joints. All cross members
must be in stock position, no slotting or repositioning of
cross member to alter wheel base or change angle of control
arms and trailing arms. No rod ends or Heim joints. May use
racing springs. One adjustable cup, no other adjustments are
allowed. This means 1 per car and no other spacers.
REAR END
Rear differential must be locked, no spools or
aluminum parts.
TRANSMISSION
Flywheel must remain stock (unaltered) steel, no
aluminum, etc. No machining, except for clean up on clutch
mating surface. 18 pound minimum. Clutch must be OEM type
only, no light weight parts. This means clutch disc and
pressure plate. Transmission must have all working gears.
Drive shaft steel only. (Must be painted white for easy
visibility if lost on track)
EXHAUST
Must run muffler, any type & mounted securely!
Manifolds: Must run stock unaltered OEM cast iron exhaust
manifold. Optional Ranger header part # 57Z9430C allowed.
MUST have Ford logo. Intake must be OEM as cast, no
modifications, carb type manifolds only. With a max 1” carb
adaptor (no fuel injection manifolds allowed).
BRAKES
No brake shut offs, all four brakes must be working.
There will be random brake checks.
WHEELS
You are allowed to run 4 racing wheels with the same
offset and the same size on your car. No spacers or wheel
adapters. Wheels maximum width of 7 inches and mandatory 1
inch lug nuts. Tire packages will be announced as soon as
possible.
TIRES
Stock DOT passenger car tire allowed. Maximum width
of 8 inches. No winter tread or studded tires. NO RECAPS! NO
tires will be allowed that have the word WINTER. The snow
cap mountain logo must accompanied with the rain and sun
logo. American Racer size 23.0 / 7.0 - 14 permitted.
Grooving, buffing, and siping are allowed.
WEIGHT & BALLAST
Any weight inside drivers compartment must have
2x2x1/4 in. minimum plate on the back side of weight, the
weight must be painted a bright color for easy visibility.
Car must weigh 2500 pound minimum with driver after the race
without adding fuel. Weight with track scales. OUR READING
IS FINAL!
The top 10 finishers may be torn down at the Promoter/Race
Directors discretion, by the Tech Inspectors. If for any
reason anyone is to be found illegal, they will lose their
money and points for the night.
Anything not covered in these rules will be up to the
discretion of the DH2 Track Officials.
