2013 Factory Stock Rules
 
Any American 1955 to Present Rear wheel drive passenger car except for 82 and newer camera & firebirds.  
Cars must be gutted of all glass & flammable material; All glass and chrome must be removed. Cars must have
a minimum of a 6 point roll cage with 3 bars on the driver’s side door & 3 bars on the passenger side door. A
down bar center of the windshield opening minimum 11/2 steel tubing 0.95 thicknesses.  Unibody car frames
must be tied together, factory wheelbase for the chassis being used.  Cars must have full floors – firewall to
firewall.  All holes must be patched.  Windshield opening must be covered with ˝” square wire screen heavy
gauge.  3 windshield straps in center of windshield opening 1” wide by 1/8” thick strap steel running from top to
bottom of windshield opening.  Driver side drop down window net mandatory!  Cars must have a minimum 18 in.
high number painted on both front doors and roof. They must be painted with a contrasting color.  All cars must
have an approved fully charged fire extinguisher accessible. ABC ONLY!  Stock hood latch must be removed
and replaced with at least 2 hood pins. Any over competitive cars will be slowed down by track

BODIES
Full steel factory body only!  No hood scoops or rear spoilers.  After market nose & tale will be allowed stock
bumpers with 2 chains or cables front & rear so car can be towed easily, mandatory!  If your car doesn’t have
the tow chains or cables, it will be pushed to the infield until the race is over.

Aluminum racing seat is mandatory.  Must be high backed, minimum of 0.095 material, seat mounting; Seat
location must be OEM.  5 point harness mandatory.  

ENGINES
Maximum; Chevy 350 plus .060 over, Ford 351m plus .060 over, Chrysler 360 plus .060 over. Flat top pistons
only, no domes, pop ups, etc. Stock cast iron 2 barrel intake, Rochester 2 barrel or stock out of the box Holly
4412 2 barrel carburetor.  Carb. MUST PASS DH2 GO-NO-GO gauges. No after market carburetor, Stock
Production heads only, no valves over 1.97.  No Aluminum, no vor-tech, no world products, no bow-ties, etc.  
Engine must have stock crank shaft, connecting rods, rocker arms & studs with hydraulic cam & lifters only.  No
hydraulic rollers, rollers flat tappet cams.  It must pass vacuum 15psi at 1000 rpm.  DH2 gauge is final.

FUEL SYSTEM
Fuel cells are mandatory and must be mounted as far forward in trunk as possible.  Fuel cell must have a tip
over valve.  Driver compartment must be blocked off from trunk, all holes and gaps must be covered.  Fuel shut
off mandatory, marked with an on/off in a bright color in plain view & in reach of an official.  No plastic or glass
fuel filters.

BATTERY
Battery must be relocated behind driver, securely mounted in a contained box to the floor or roll cage.  Must
have a master disconnect switch marked on/off in a bright color in plain view & in reach of an official, from
outside of car.

RADIATOR
Radiator must be mounted securely with a 2 quart catch can mandatory.  Fan shroud recommended.

SUSPENSION
Front suspension must be completely stock for the year make & model chassis being used.  Stock replacement
parts can be used.  No rod ends, mono balls, solid bushings.  No altering of any kind. Adjustable cups allowed.  
Racing springs are allowed. NO jacking bolts. NO cutting or notching of front frame allowed.
Rear suspension must be completely stock for the year make & model chassis being used.  No altering of any
kind.

REAR END
You must use stock rear for make, model, & year of chassis.  (Rear must be locked).  (No limited slip, posi track,
or lockers of any kind).

TRANSMISSION
You must use an Automatic Transmission only, with a stock torque converter 11” min. diameter.  No trick
converters or in/out valves or direct drives.  Steel drive shafts only painted white.  Two drive shaft hoops
mandatory.

EXHAUST
Stock cast iron manifolds, 2 1/2” max. Exhaust to exit behind driver, 2 mufflers mandatory.  The exhaust must be
leak free & mounted securely.  Street Headers are allowed 15/8 max tube size, no racing or step headers.

BRAKES
Stock brakes for year, make, & model of chassis being used.  All four brakes must be in working order.  No
brake shut offs or brake adjust valves. There will be MANDATORY random brake checks!

TIRES & WHEELS
Any all season 70 series radial tire allowed.  NO snow tires, NO recap tires.  MUST BE DOT APPROVED.
245 / 70 - 15 American Racer tire allowed ONLY. Grooving, buffing and siping allowed.
Wheels must be 8” max. width.  All of the same offset, 1” lug nuts mandatory & No wheel spacers.

WEIGHT & BALLAST
Car must weigh 3200 pounds with driver after race.  No adding fuel after race.  Any ballast weight must be
painted white with car number.  All ballast weight must be secured and safe.

THIS CAR IS BASICALLY OFF THE STREET WITH THE SAFETY IN MIND FOR RACING. THIS CAR SHOULD BE
ALL STOCK. STOCK MEANS STOCK!

The top 10 finishers may be torn down at the Promoter/Race Directors discretion, by the Tech Inspectors.  If for
any reason anyone is to be found illegal, they will lose their money and points for the night.

Anything not covered in these rules will be up to the discretion of the DH2 Track Officials.  DH2 Track Officials
decisions are final!
